Accelerating Product-To-Market And Configure-To-Quote Processes With Configuration Lifecycle Management
Increased competition and growing market complexity raise important challenges for all global companies, especially those who offer complex (configurable) products and/or services to their customers. In this talk we’ll discuss how configuration lifecycle management (CLM) addresses two interrelated opportunities within an increasingly competitive landscape: how to get complex products to market faster, while at the same time empowering sales channels to respond to customers more quickly and with more competitive pricing for complex product/service offerings. We cover several concepts, including how CLM technology differs from and complements PLM systems, and how it can be used to power configure-price-quote (CPQ) systems that take all aspects of product configurability into account. Using CLM technology in this way enables companies to accelerate their product introduction cycles while also gaining important capabilities to increase the competitiveness of their sales quotations.
